Run by young charity professionals for young charity professionals, this voluntary organisation will offer mentorship, training, resources, and advocacy within a number of skills areas.

We will be kicking off 2018 with a host of free workshops and events in London.

What do we offer?

Training & boot camps

We will be offering training days and bootcamps aimed at certain areas of work within the charity sector, starting with a pilot workshop called Charity PR – Pitching to journalists. The workshop will be open to those hoping to build confidence in their existing assistant/officer-level roles in PR and communications within a charity, as well as those with a strong interest in entering the sector.

Applications to our pilot bootcamp ‘Charity PR – Pitching to journalists‘ will open in March 2018.

Events & talks

We’ll be starting the new year with talks and networking events from some of the most innovative young people and

Advocacy

Run by a team of passionate charity professionals, working on a pro-bono basis, the Young Charity Professionals Network’s long-term aim is to advocate for sector-wide improvements which will help retain and recruit young charity workers for longer. Relatively little research into the challenges facing young charity professionals has been conducted; it is our belief that more data will allow us to build stronger best practice around training and professional development for non-profit workers under-30.

Resources

As well as linking to resources according to skill specialism and cause, we are also working with providers to fill knowledge deficits within the industry. From January 2018, you can follow the download links and blogs in our resources section or email your own tips to us, hereWe welcome contributors.
